Packaging, delivery and returns

Collection in person

All pieces for sale on the website are available for collection from our East Oxford workshop so you are very welcome to pop in and take a closer look before you buy. Please get in touch to arrange a suitable time to visit.

Courier

Furniture items will be sent to you by a professional furniture courier and will be wrapped in re-used and recyclable packaging. The standard courier service is a ground floor, two-man delivery, so please get in touch for a quote if you require your item to be delivered to a first floor or more. If you order more than one item or your item is particularly large we may need to adjust the delivery charge accordingly once we have received a price from our courier. Please get in touch for a quote for this or if you are looking to ship the item outside of the UK.

Postage

Smaller homeware items will be sent to you by Royal Mail and will be packaged in re-used and recyclable packaging (see more below on disposing of the packaging).

Delivery time

Please allow up to 14 days for your order to reach you. Depending on the delivery method chosen you will be advised when to expect delivery. If you’d like your item delivered sooner please do get in touch and we will do our best to get it to you in time.

If you would like us to hold your order for delivery at a later date please let us know. We will happily store pieces free of charge for up to one month, following that we charge £15 per week storage fee.

Returns

Please remember older pieces are not perfect (that’s why we love them!) but to avoid returns all items are described in as much detail as possible and more images or videos can be provided on request. However, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please message us at hello@mayandcointeriors.co.uk with your reason for return and we will get back to you with exchange or refund options. Please note every return will be dealt with on an individual basis and we reserve the right to deny a return if we do not think the return is within reason.

Packaging

The packaging used to get your order safely to you will be re-used (so might not look as pretty as some!) and recyclable. To help save waste please either re-use or recycle, do not throw in general waste.

The pallet wrap, which is made from low density polyethylene (ldpe) and used to protect furniture items, can be recycled along with plastic bags at your local recycling points. The loose fill chips are by Eco Flo® and are made from starch and are 100% fully compostable, biodegradable and water soluble. The recycled corrugated paper wrap, boxes, tissue paper and brown paper parcel tape, if you are not able to re-use, can be recycled through your household collection scheme or at your local recycling point.
