Late 18th Century Oak Cabinet
Late 18th Century Oak Cabinet
An oak and glass cabinet from the late 18th century.
In solid oak with a softwood interior, this lovely piece offers plenty of storage for a kitchen or living space. In two parts, the top section sits (unsecured) on top of the base. The lower section offers two fixed shelves, with the top having two adjustable/removable shelves. Lockable doors with keys provided.
In good condition, it has been cleaned and oiled whilst retaining its aged character which includes the odd small area of chipped molding (see last images). The glass is original and two of the smaller right hand panes have cracks, which doesn’t affect the use and is not that noticeable given that the glass is quite rippled with age. There is a large darker stubborn patch on the upper shelf of the lower half. The upper lock is also upside down but functional. These have all been reflected in the price.
